MoJo Photography Workshop Recap

Today, we’re super-excited to share photos from our MoJo Photography Workshop that took place on Feb. 8, 2014, at Maple Grove Inn in Knoxville, TN. It was a gorgeous Saturday for the full-day wedding photography workshop, and we even shot outside in the middle of winter in Tennessee!

Wedding photographers from across the southeast attended the MoJo Photography Workshop, which included instruction on shooting with natural light, creating the natural light look when there is no window light (when in churches, hotel ballrooms, etc.), and creating artificial sunlight with the recently dubbed “JoFaux Sunlight” technique.

The workshop also included guest speaker Heather Watson, visual Manager of Anthropologie’s Knoxville store and owner of Knoxville-based personal and professional styling company Jayne-of-all-Trades. Heather was full of amazing tips for photographers to apply when shooting on the wedding day and styled shoots.

From a personal standpoint, we have attended so many workshops across the country over the past years (more than we can count on both hands!), and we truly believe that learning and continuing to learn and refine our skills as photographers and business owners is essential. Our business and our photography skills have evolved and improved as a result of the multitude of workshops we have attended. Because we know how much of a difference workshops and conferences have made in our lives and business, we recognize how important passing our knowledge on to other photographers can be too!
