Taylor Grady House Wedding
This wedding at The Taylor Grady House in Athens, Georgia, is full of southern charm! Andrew and Malinda got married on Memorial Day weekend on May 28, 2016, and it was a sunny and gorgeous afternoon!
Andrew is from Knoxville, and Malinda went to school in Athens, so when they got engaged they chose to have their wedding at the Taylor Grady House. This was a special wedding for us, because Andrew is also a photographer and Joe used to work with him at The Bingham Group, a Knoxville advertising agency.
Their wedding included the most sophisticated and personal southern details and decor! Malinda made all of the bouquets and floral arrangements herself, and her sister did her hair and makeup. The bridesmaids had lovely blush pink gowns, and the flowers in their bouquets were purple iris, which is the state flower of Tennessee.
Their ceremony was outside in the garden, cocktail hour was inside the house, and their reception was in the back yard. Andrew and Malinda placed wedding photos of their parents, grandparents, and ancestors throughout the house for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. It was such a personal touch seeing the photos of their families dating back all the way to the 1800s! Their reception decor included fresh peaches – perfectly suited for their Georgia wedding! And their rice krispy treat groom’s cake had toppers on them that looked like their dog and cat. Everywhere you turned, there were personal touches that reflected both Andrew and Malinda!
