Knoxville Wedding at The Quarry
Today, we’re whisking you away to a breathtaking wedding in an old rock quarry. Andy and Ashley’s wedding at The Quarry in Knoxville, Tennessee, is overflowing with organic florals, soaring rock walls, and the sweetest couple. And what makes this wedding so special to us is that we photographed Andy’s proposal to Ashley, their Charleston engagement photos at Magnolia Plantation last spring, and now their wedding!
Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready in The Quarry’s bridal suite, located in a lovely white cottage on the property. Andy and his groomsmen got ready downstairs, while Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready upstairs. This duo wanted to see each other before the ceremony to maximize their time together on the property, so they had their first look just outside The Terrazzo building. Then, we traveled throughout The Quarry for photos in the most dreamy and fairytale-esque locations including cliffs, moss rocks, and hanging ivy.
As the sun was setting over the cliff walls, Andy and Ashley said “i do” with their son, Colton, who was the ring bearer. Andy hand made their cord of three strands, which they tied during the wedding.
After their ceremony, they had their first dance under hundreds of cafe lights draped across the canyon while Barger’s Beer Truck served up the coldest of beverages. Then, they ran through a tunnel of sparklers as they left their reception and headed to their honeymoon!
