Marriott Syracuse Downtown Wedding
Shanna and Brady’s Marriott Syracuse Downtown wedding in New York is full of everything we love about spring – fresh purple hues, a warm afternoon with white clouds floating across a rich blue sky, and an elegant hotel reception with the most stunning decor. All for one of the sweetest couples we know!
This duo got married in downtown Syracuse in June. They live in Knoxville, but returned to the bride’s hometown for their nuptials. Their ceremony was at the University United Methodist Church. Even though it’s called a church, it looked more like a cathedral, with gorgeous stained glass windows filtering sunlight onto the couple as they said their vows.
After their ceremony, we visited Onondaga Park for photos with he wedding party. At Onondaga Park, there is a stunning rock bridge, acres upon acres of fields, and stately trees full of foliage with the sunlight glistening through the leaves dancing in the wind.
The wedding reception was in the Marriott Syracuse Downtown grand ballroom. Formerly known as the Hotel Syracuse, the entire hotel was restored to its 1924 glory in 2016. The jaw-dropping ballroom includes gold detail and a ceiling that replicates the sky with white fluffy clouds.
