Knox County Courthouse Wedding
As Knoxville wedding photographers, we have the opportunity to capture all kinds of weddings, from small intimate affairs to large celebrations with hundreds of guests. Each type of weddings holds a special place in our hearts because we know they’re a true reflection of the bride and groom and how they choose to celebrate. Some people love being around all of their friends, and others prefer the low-key vibe of just their immediate families.
When Chelsea and Ben contacted us about photographing their Knox County courthouse wedding, she said, “As you might have guessed, we don’t like a lot of fuss. No big proposal, no engagement. We’re getting married on our 10-year dating anniversary at the county courthouse with just our closest friends. You could call us non-traditional high school sweethearts.”
And so we met these high school lovebirds and six of their closest friends in the lobby of the Old Knoxville Knox County Courthouse downtown in March. It was a typical March day, with a wintery sky and the trees filling up with buds getting ready to bloom.
After their courthouse ceremony, we walked around downtown for photos in all of their favorite locations including the Tennessee Theatre, Gay Street, and Market Square. After wedding photos, Chelsea and Ben met their friends at Maple Hall for bowling, drinks, and a meal. It was the perfect “no fuss” nuptial, and we were so blessed to capture it for the new Mr. and Mrs.!
