Cades Cove Wedding Photos
One of our favorite places for weddings in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is Cades Cove, and Tara and Matt’s December wedding we’re sharing with you today is nothing short of a stunning Smoky Mountain wedding!
Tara and Matt got married at the historic Missionary Baptist Church. One of our favorite churches in the cove, it has beautiful windows with sunlight beaming through and old wooden church pews and wood floors that creak as you walk across them. Founded more than 175 years ago, it’s one of the most memorable and historic churches in Cades Cove.
After their ceremony, we went to the Wildlife Overlook for sweeping views of the mountains. It was a clear day and the sun was shining bright, so it was easy to see the layers of mountains in the distance. Tara’s gown with sheer lace sleeves was beautiful in the field at the overlook.
After stopping at various locations around Cades Cove Loop Road, we went to a nearby wedding venue for their reception – Country Manor Acres in Townsend. Nestled in the mountains, Country Manor Acres has one of Tara’s favorite things – horses. The most handsome horses came up to the fence and let everyone feed them carrots.
Country Manor Acres also has a field and a pond, and the sun set gracefully behind the forest. The evening concluded with a sparkler exit at the barn, and it was the perfect ending to Tara and Matt’s gorgeous Smoky Mountain wedding!
