Cades Cove Wedding at the Primitive Baptist Church

If you’re dreaming of a mountain wedding with the morning sunlight, take note of Rachel and Aaron’s intimate wedding at the Primitive Baptist Church in Cades Cove. Rachel and Aaron traveled from Chattanooga for their sun-kissed Smoky Mountain wedding.

She wore an antique wedding gown that she purchased from one of her friends, and it had the most gorgeous lace sleeves and long flowing train. Paired with her handmade floral crown, and she was a breathtaking mountain bride!

When we arrived at the Primitive Baptist Church that morning, there was still dew on the grass. As we were sitting in the parking lot, two deer walked in front of the church. The sounds of the bird chirping and the peacefulness of Cades Cove that early in the day was the perfect setting for their sweet and intimate ceremony.

As we opened the front door to the quaint church that was built in the 1800s, there was a burst of chilly air that floated out, but the sunlight shining through the glass windows quickly warmed up the small 1-room church tucked into the cove. The Primitive Baptist Church was the first of three churches established in Cades Cove.

The minister who married Rachel and Aaron was the same minister who married her mother and father. They were surrounded by their closest family members while saying “I Do.” Then, after their ceremony, we traveled around the Cades Cove loop and stopped for photos in various locations along the way.
