Boone Hall Plantation Wedding
This Boone Hall Plantation wedding at the Cotton Dock in Charleston, SC, will take your breath away! Allison and Trevor’s wedding was overflowing with gold details and candles, a gorgeous Jenny Packham wedding gown, and Boone Hall Plantation’s breathtaking Avenue of Oaks.
You may remember Allison and Trevor’s downtown Charleston and Isle of Palms engagement photos, or Allison’s garden and beach bridal boudoir photos. Their wedding was 1 week after hurricane Joaquin on Oct. 9, 2015. Due to the flooding and high waters in Charleston, the dock was expected to be flooded during high tide. So, they flip-flopped their cocktail hour and ceremony and held their cocktail hour on the dock first (1 hour earlier than originally scheduled), and then their ceremony after that. It was a fabulous evening, and everything worked out perfectly despite the high tide!
Megan with Ooh! Events was the wedding planner, floral design was by Out of the Garden, and Ooh! Events also provided the decor. Dishware was from Polished. Allison’s gown was by Jenny Packham, and the bridemaids’ gowns were from Rent the Runway. Hair was by Alexandria’s Salon & Spa, and makeup was by Bellelina Skincare and Makeup Studio. Catering was by Fresh Foods Market, and for their wedding dessert, flavored popsicles were provided by King of Pops.
For their reception, the band We Got the Beat provided live music. Half-way through the reception, they changed into 80s clothes and played all 80s music! Everyone had such a blast, and the guests wore 80s sunglasses and had blow-up guitars and boom boxes!
