Foothills Parkway Elopement

The Foothills Parkway is our favorite location for scenic views in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The beauty of the Smokies is that the temperature varies so much from the valleys to the peaks, places like Mount LeConte can be covered with snow while it’s raining in Townsend. And sometimes in the fall, you can drive through snow on one part of the parkway, and then find yourself in warm sunlight with the most gorgeous sunset at another part of the parkway.

This is exactly what we found at Amberly and Bryan’s December wedding. As we were driving up the parkway, there was snow on both sides of the road and in the trees! Then, when we stopped for their ceremony there were snow-covered mountains in the distance.

Amberly said, “Bryan & I knew we were soulmates within the first 5 minutes of meeting each other.” So when they traveled from Alabama to Tennessee for their December wedding, the snow covered mountains the background couldn’t have been planned any more perfectly!
