Foothills Parkway Elopement

Make sure you’re sitting down for this, because these are some of the most jaw-dropping fall elopement photos on the Foothills Parkway in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Camry and Matthew got married on a Sunday in Texas, traveled to Tennessee, and then met us on Wednesday for adventure mountain photos, and all we can say is IT WAS GORGEOUS!

Camry said, “Matty and I met on a walk, went for a walk on our first date, he proposed on a walk, and we are planning on hiking some on our honeymoon in Knoxville! We plan to thru hike the Appalachian Trail in 2020!”

The Foothills Parkway is one of our favorite locations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and it boasts some of the most gorgeous scenic views. Not only did they get an epic view, but they also got snow!

As we were driving up the mountain, there were patches of snow in the shaded areas. So, we stopped and hopped out of the car for some snow wedding pictures. Then, when we stopped at our favorite waterfall, there were icicles hanging from the rocks. As we continues ascending to Caylor Gap on the Missing Link, the warm sun covered the mountains below lighting up the richest fall colors below.

Camry said, “We’re getting married in Texas, which is way bigger than what we wanted. I didn’t get the elopement I was hoping for, but we thought we’d compromise with some photos that represent us a little better. Just taking some photos wrecking that perfectly white wedding dress with a little hike!” And that’s exactly what they did. Her gown with delicate lace sleeves was perfect for the snow, and she even wore leggings and tennis shoes under her gown!

Cheers to this adventurous couple and for being up for everything from hiking in the snow to chasing the sunset over the Smokies!
