Wedding at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

One of our favorite wedding venues in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is Spence Cabin in Elkmont. It sits on the banks of the Little River, and it’s breathtaking each time we visit.

Whitney and Colin traveled from Kentucky for their destination mountain wedding at Spence Cabin. Although it was the middle of August, and one of the hottest months of the year in Tennessee, their afternoon wedding was cool and breezy under the shade of the forest canopy with the Little River babbling behind them.

Whitney’s gown had the most lovely lace sleeves, and her floral hairpiece by Lisa Foster Floral Design was stunning with her blonde locks. Whitney’s bridesmaids wore pink lace gowns, and her mom was the matron of honor.

True to mountain brides, Whitney was adventurous and didn’t mind getting a little bit of dirt under her gown! She and Colin climbed up on one of the freestanding rock chimney’s in Elkmont, walked out on the rocks in the river, and hiked through the forest even though it was drizzling rain for a few minutes.

Whitney and Colin have a sweet baby girl, and she was a part of the wedding as well. Colin carried her with him for the ceremony, and you could tell that she was definitely daddy’s little girl!
