Knoxville Wedding Photographer
Labor Day is the symbolic “end of summer,” and for Knoxville, that includes kicking off the UT Vols football season, Boomsday, the smell of hot dogs sizzling on the grill, boating, and enjoying an extra day off work with the family. For Joe and I, it included photographing a wedding at 10 am (the earliest wedding we’ve photographed yet) at Smithview Pavilion in Maryville so the couple and all of their wedding guests could go to the UT Vols football game. Now, that’s an amazing way to celebrate a wedding in the south, isn’t it?
With summer coming to an end, it seems like everyone is ready for fall. I’ve seen hundreds of fall photos pinned on Pinterest, everyone’s excited that Starbucks’ pumpkin spiced lattes are coming out early, and stores at the mall are full of clearance priced summer clothes and sandals! Not to mention, the slew of orange clothes and accessories that have made their way to store windows!
But let’s not forget what a beautiful Knoxville summer we’ve had. Joe and I photographed weddings every weekend this summer in the sunshine, and in the rain (we were soaking wet more times that we can count!). Although I think everyone in Knoxville would have been happier with a little less rain and a little more sunshine, it was a great summer full of gorgeous weddings, sweet sweet couples, and weekends spent with amazing wedding professionals who know how to work together to make a wedding THE very very best for each couple.
And with the changing of the season also comes many beautiful fall weddings we’re looking forward to this fall, and some awesome announcements we have coming soon! But before getting ahead of ourselves (it’s still 90 degrees outside, right?), we’d like to share a throwback JoPhoto bridal shoot from a few years ago. It only seems fitting that we say goodbye to summer in the most appropriate way, and that’s with a bride in a waterfall on a hot summer’s day, right?
