The Magnolia Venue

If you’re dreaming of a Smoky Mountain wedding, The Magnolia venue is one of the first places you should look! This mountainside wedding venue in Pigeon Forge has jaw-dropping views of the Smokies and East Tennessee, and Kayle and PJ’s wedding in June was as sentimental as it was beautiful.

Many weddings in the Great Smoky Mountains are destination weddings, and Kayle and PJ’s was no different. More than 100 of their closest friends and families traveled from Florida to Tennessee for their ceremony high atop the Appalachian Mountains. To make it even better, a black bear tried to join the reception! Luckily, The Magnolia always has a security officer on site for weddings who is trained in scaring off the bears – so everyone was safe.

In addition to the black bear, a T-rex also joined the reception! Her father dressed up in a T-rex blow-up costume and unexpectedly entered the reception for his speech as the dinosaur. He said he wore the costume so no one would be able to see all the tears the were flowing during his father of the bride speech. You could certainly hear the love and emotion in his voice, and his speech was one that no one will forget.

True to the Smoky Mountains, there was fog on the mountains and intermittent rain throughout the day. The ceremony was held for a few minutes so the rain would pass, and then everyone scurried outside with umbrellas. During the reception, it was pouring the rain, so everyone danced in the rain with droplets splashing down on their faces while Jim with Ogle Entertainment cranked up the music.

The Magnolia Venue

The Magnolia wedding venue is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. With both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony and reception options, it offers year-round facilities for brides, grooms, and their wedding guests. The Magnolia is one of the Smokies’ newest wedding venues, complete with a bridal suite, outdoor porch overlooking the mountains strung with hundreds of cafe lights, and an elegant grand ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows with roll-up doors on each side.
