First, we fell in love with Maple Grove Estate’s historic southern home built in the 1700s and tucked away in west Knoxville. Then, we walked inside and our jaws dropped when we saw the bridal suite. After that, the golden sun set behind the red brick patio during wedding receptions and our hearts melted. Now, Kris and Tanessa’s intimate ceremony on the avenue with ancient trees gracefully reaching across has done us in!

This sweet couple got married in mid-June on one of the prettiest days in Knoxville. The sun was shining bright and there was a slight breeze that delicately cooled your face as it swept across. Tanessa’s veil danced in the wind, and they said their “I dos” on the avenue leading to the estate with their closest 50 friends and family members. It truly felt like we had been swept away to Charleston for the evening for an intimate destination wedding!

After their wedding ceremony, the reception was on the red brick patio next to the historic home with hundreds of cafe lights twinkling above the guests. Tanessa and Kris danced on the patio as the sun was setting, and their best friends gave the sweetest and most memorable toasts as everyone raised their glasses to the newlyweds.

As if their day couldn’t have been any sweeter, Kris’s brother got married at this gorgeous venue 10 years ago!
