Knoxville Engagement Pictures at Meads Quarry
One of our favorite things about summer in Tennessee is how green and lush the foliage is, and these Knoxville engagement pictures at Meads Quarry won’t disappoint! We met Taylor and Evan at Ijam’s Quarries (aka Meads Quarry) near Ijam’s Nature Center in August for their engagement photos, and it was a beautiful evening by the quarry’s lake.
This couple is near and dear to our hearts because we photographed their marriage proposal last fall at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. Evan contacted us weeks before he proposed to Taylor, and his perfectly planned proposal was one for the books! He even contacted her parents and they drove down from New York state to surprise her moments after he proposed.
This sweet duo is getting married this fall at Riverview Family Farm in Knoxville, and we are thrilled to be a part of their autumn wedding!
Meads Quarry Photographer
Meads Quarry originally opened in 1881 in downtown Knoxville and provided pink marble that was used in local and national monuments. Although it’s no longer a working quarry, it is now a public park and the pink marble cliffs are a beautiful backdrop for photos along the ice-blue lake and reflections in the water. We frequently photograph engagement sessions at Meads Quarry and love its lush greenery and unique backdrop.
