Workshop for Professional Wedding Photographers

Tighten your camera straps and pack up your camera bags, we’re excited to announce the next wedding photography workshop! The MoJo Workshop for professional wedding photographers is Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Maple Grove Inn Bed & Breakfast in Knoxville, TN. Boost your wedding photog mojo and attend this full-day workshop crammed full of information, instruction, and shooting!
The MoJo Workshop will include instruction and tips on booking clients, working with your couples pre-wedding day, day-of timelines, and most of all….shooting with natural light, and creating the natural light look when there is no window light (i.e., when in churches, hotel ballrooms, and other dungeon-like places of course). We’ll also be creating the look of warm sunlight on cloudy days. Take heed, you won’t be scared of using flash or strobes any longer!
The workshop at this lovely bed & breakfast also includes a full photo shoot with a bride and groom, an Anthropologie tablescape, flowers by LB Floral, wedding cake by Bradford Catered Events, bridal portraits, and more. You will walk away with photos for your portfolio, blog, and web site, and new ways of tackling lighting for indoor and outdoor wedding photography.
Guest Speaker
We will also host guest speaker Heather Watson, visual Manager of Anthropologie’s Knoxville store and owner of Knoxville-based personal and professional styling company Jayne-of-all-Trades. Heather’s background includes more than 20 years of extensive experience in visual design spanning top international fashion designers in New York — Director of Visual Presentation for Polo Ralph Lauren, Senior Visual Manager for Ann Taylor, Vice President of Marketing and Visual Merchandising for Calvin Klein, and Director of Visual Merchandising and Store Design with Cache. Heather will share her in-depth knowledge of visual design, styling, and presentation with attendees so you can better photograph details and designs on the wedding day, and style shoots for your portfolio. Heather will also be designing the Anthropologie tablescape as part of the workshop’s styled shoot.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks are included.
What to Bring: Bring the gear you would shoot with on a wedding day (camera, lenses, flash, reflector, etc.).
Investment:
- Individual tickets are $375 + EventBrite Fees (total $396.20)
- Tickets for husband/wife teams are $650 + EventBrite Fees (total $679.45)
Register for the workshop: Space is limited to 20 photographers. Once the spots are filled, we won’t be accepting any more attendees, so don’t hesitate if you’re interested!
