Roan Mountain Engagement Photos

We’re always up for an adventure! So, when Lee and Jorie wanted to take their engagement photos high atop Roan Mountain, we packed our bags and traveled to the Tennessee and North Carolina border to meet them at Carver’s Gap.

It was a beautiful evening with a constant breeze, blue skies and fluffy cloudy floating above us. This sweet duo also brought their handsome golden retriever, Charlie. On our short hike up the mountain, we stopped at a few places, including the forest and a large rock overlooking the mountain range. Once we made it to the top, there was a 360-degree panoramic view of the mountains. Everywhere we looked, there was an epic view!

Jorie’s hair and makeup was on point by Southern Belle Beauty, and Lee’s attire was from Wm. King Clothiers in Bristol. They are getting married in Knoxville next year, and their reception will be at the Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm.

About Roan Mountain

Standing tall in 5,512 feet in elevation, Roan Mountain is in the Pisgah – Cherokee National Forest. It’s on the Appalachian Trail and it is one of the high points of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Carver’s Gap is near the North Carolina and Tennessee state line, and it’s famous for its rhododendron blooms each spring.
