Smoky Mountains Wedding at Spence Cabin
Today’s earthy Great Smoky Mountains National Park wedding at Spence Cabin and reception at the Appalachian Clubhouse is full of organic beauty, a blush wedding gown, the sweetest couple, and a bride and groom with the most lovely and artistic tattoos.
Mariella and Zac got married on the banks of the river in Elkmont on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Mid-September in the national park is beautiful, with slightly cooler weather and the Little River flowing steadily behind the cabin.
Mariella works at Born This Way Body Arts in Knoxville, so they were surrounded by their family, closest friends and co-workers. Mariella and Zac’s 12-year-old pitbull, Macy, was the ring dog, and she was an important part of their day and posed perfectly for photos!
Their reception at the Appalachian Clubhouse included a yummy food truck dishing out the best dinner entrees for all the guests, and the Knox Photo Bus on hand for fun photo booth pictures.

About Spence Cabin
Two of our favorite venues in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are Spence Cabin and the Appalachian Clubhouse. Spence Cabin is perfect for wedding ceremonies, and the Appalachian Clubhouse is great for receptions. With a short 2-minute drive between the cabin and the clubhouse, many couples choose to reserve both venues for their wedding day. You can reserve them online at the following links: Spence Cabin, and Appalachian Clubhouse. Located in the Elkmont Historic District, the cabin was built in 1928 and the clubhouse was built in 1934.
