Last month, we traveled to St. Louis for Mini and Gideon’s wedding at the Forest Park Jewel Box and their reception at the St. Louis Zoo. They got married on May 27, 2012, and it was a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend! Many of Mini’s family traveled from India to St. Louis for their wedding, including some of her bridesmaids.
Mini and Gideon co-founded Primates Peru, a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and conservation of primates in southeast Perú. After their wedding, Mini and Gideon left for a two-month long honeymoon/research trip to Perú – they are SO passionate about their work!
Mini and Gideon’s wedding at The Jewel Box included a knot tying ceremony.
Mini hand made all the bouquets, and the groomsmen wore butterfly bouttonierres – cute DIY wedding ideas!
Mini and her bridesmaids had parasols with butterfly accents. The parasols were perfect for shading from the sun too!
Their wedding cake was hand made by one of Mini’s family members, with purple and green accents and a butterfly on top. Their wedding cake sat in front of a huge aquarium at their reception at the St. Louis Zoo.
Gideon and his groomsmen performed the most acrobatics we’ve ever seen at a wedding reception!
We travel for weddings outside of Knoxville and Tennessee.
