Greenbrier Wedding in the Smoky Mountains
From the top of the Foothills Parkway to the rivers of Greenbrier and Elkmont, the views in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park never disappoint. This was especially true for Jordan and Steven’s intimate wedding in Greenbrier in June.
With their immediate families, Jordan and Steven had their wedding ceremony overlooking the fast flowing Little Pigeon River. Where their ceremony was located, the water flows together in the shape of a horseshoe. Their parents wiped away tears as they said their wedding vows, and the newlyweds shared a sweet first dance together before we hiked through the forest for wedding photos.
“None of Nature’s landscapes are ugly so long as they are wild.” John Muir.

Greenbrier Weddings in the Smokies
The Greenbrier area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is on northern side of the park, and it is near Pittman Center just outside of Gatlinburg on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. It is generally not very crowded with less traffic. There are three wedding locations in Greebrier: #1, #2, and the picnic pavilion. The approved wedding ceremony locations are on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, and there is an abundance of beautiful backdrops for wedding photos including the river, forest, wooden bridges, and large rocks in the river.
