Foothills Parkway Windy Wedding in the Smoky Mountains
It can be really windy on the Foothills Parkway for weddings! But the wind and rain didn’t dampen Dorothy & Chad’s destination winter wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park – no way. It was even sprinkling for a few minutes during their ceremony, and they didn’t hesitate.
This sweet couple got married on 12-12-2020, and we met them at their rental cabin in Pigeon Forge before traveling to the national park. She got ready in a cozy cabin nestled on the side of the mountain, and that’s also where they chose to do a first look. Then, everyone traveled to the Foothills Parkway together.
When we arrived at their ceremony location on the Foothills Parkway, we asked them if they wanted to wait a few minutes for the rain to pass and they said, “Heck no, let’s do this!” They didn’t hesitate and took it all in stride. That’s what true smoky mountain couples do – they don’t let a little rain stop their plans.
And then the rain stopped in the middle of their ceremony, and it held off for the rest of the evening. Cheers to the Harrisons!
