Gatlinburg Elopement Greenbrier

Greenbrier Elopement in the Smoky Mountains

We’re thrilled to be sharing this Great Smoky Mountains National Park wedding in Greenbrier with you today! Greenbrier is located in Pittman Center near Gatlinburg, and it’s one of the quieter areas of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with dense lush forest and the Little Pigeon River.

Hannah and Nate are from Pennsylvania, and they wanted to travel to the smoky mountains to have a small wedding with just family. When Hannah first reached out to us, she said, “We met 4 years ago, and we were introduced through mutual friends. We have two labs and we enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, and just being together. We want a small elopement with just family.” And that’s exactly what they had on the bank of the Little Pigeon River!

Greenbrier is gorgeous in the summer, with rushing water and deep green foliage. Greenbrier got its name from a vine. Greenbrier vines are part of the lily family and are usually prickly with blue-black berries.

Greenbrier Weddings in Gatlinburg

The Greenbrier area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is on northern side of the park, and it is near Pittman Center just outside of Gatlinburg on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. It is generally not very crowded with less traffic. There are three wedding locations in Greebrier: #1, #2, and the picnic pavilion. The approved wedding ceremony locations are on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, and there is an abundance of beautiful backdrops for wedding photos including the river, forest, wooden bridges, and large rocks in the river.
