Greenbrier Wedding – Great Smoky Mountains National Park

She’s from Colorado and he’s from Knoxville. They met in Colorado and moved to East Tennessee 2 years ago. So, when Marisa reached out to us in June with 1 month to plan their wedding in July, they already knew exactly what they wanted and were very purposeful in their planning.

She said, “We’ve decided to keep the wedding very intimate with parents and sibilings only. Very small, intimate, in the forest.” So, we recommended Greenbrier in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its dense forest, lush foliage, and huge boulders in the river. It. Was. Perfect. We even saw two black bears in our way to the ceremony!

When you know what you want and stick to your plan, it makes everything so much simpler. You can also plan your wedding in very little time – within days or weeks.

Greenbrier Weddings in the Smokies

The Greenbrier area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is on northern side of the park, and it is near Pittman Center just outside of Gatlinburg on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. It is generally not very crowded with less traffic. There are three wedding locations in Greebrier: #1, #2, and the picnic pavilion. The approved wedding ceremony locations are on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, and there is an abundance of beautiful backdrops for wedding photos including the river, forest, wooden bridges, and large rocks in the river.
