Under Canvas Glamping in the Smoky Mountains

Marry a mountain girl & you marry the mountain. That’s exactly what Perry did when he married Kara in the Great Smoky Mountains in May 2016. We were blessed to capture their wedding that day, and we were also stoked to capture them three years later at Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains!

Kara and Perry are always up for adventure. So, when we asked them if they’d like to be a part of a glamping photo shoot, they didn’t hesitate. With Kara’s contagious laugh and adventurous soul, and Perry’s fiery red hair and “mountain man” blood, we met them for an afternoon of celebrating their love of each other and the outdoors.

Under Canvas is nestled in a quiet cove in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Surrounded by towering mountains, the resort is complete with safari luxury tents with king size beds, a restaurant serving delectable dinners and breakfasts, and a campfire with yummy s’mores!

For their glamping photos, we were in a Stargazer tent, which has its own viewing window above the king bed to stargaze at night. It was as amazing as it sounds.

Seriously though, glamping at Under Canvas is the perfect getaway. It was a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of city life in Knoxville. We’re so happy we got to capture their love in such an inspiring outdoor retreat.
