Spence Cabin Spring Wedding in Gatlinburg
Every spring, we love watching Elkmont slowly become green again with foliage. Spence Cabin is a wedding venue in Elkmont, and the cabin is open from April through October. When it opens in April each year, and it’s always sitting pretty in the forest of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and ready for spring blooms!
Kara and Aidan’s wedding in late April was beside the gushing Little River with their closest friends and family, and their reception was at the Appalachian Clubhouse. Her bridesmaids had blush pink gowns, and the groomsmen were in light gray suits – the perfect spring palette!
It feels like weddings are going back to normal again – grandparents are hugging their newlywed grandchildren, guests are dancing, and we can see (and photograph) everyone’s smiles again because they aren’t covered with masks.

Spence Cabin
Two of our favorite venues in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are Spence Cabin and the Appalachian Clubhouse. Spence Cabin is perfect for wedding ceremonies and is on the bank of the Little River. The Appalachian Clubhouse is great for receptions. With a quick 2-minute drive between the cabin and the clubhouse, many couples choose to reserve both venues for their wedding day. You can reserve them online at the following links: Spence Cabin, and Appalachian Clubhouse. Located in the Elkmont Historic District of the national park, the cabin was built in 1928 and the clubhouse was built in 1934.
